About the Event

The Friends and Senior Leadership Team think it's not only important to support the school children but also the parents and carers in our school community, this is why we have asked Amy Nettleton from Nurturing Minds to visit the school to run a workshop on understanding your child’s feelings and behaviour.

This workshop is tailored to prioritise the emotional well-being of children and their parents/carers to create a safe space to reflect and develop new tools to support the whole family's mental health.

Including:

  • Self-regulation and managing emotions as a parent, using
  • mindfulness, self-compassion and simple breathing exercises.
  • Children’s emotional and psychological development.
  • How to prioritise communication, co-regulation and connection
  • with children.
  • Compassion and Curiosity for behaviour management.
  • How to implement and maintain boundaries.

This is a free workshop, funded by The Friends, places are limited so it will be on a first come first served basis and limited to 2 tickets per person.

However if this event is popular we will look to book in some other workshops in the future so that the majority of people interested get a chance to attend a workshop with Amy.

If you would like to book a place then please sign up using the registration form, if you have any questions then please contact Libby at chair@strichardsprimaryfriends.org
