Paving the Road Towards a Better Future
We are a group of parents and teachers who work together to provide support to St Richard's Catholic Primary School. We fundraise to provide the school with additional educational and play resources, organise school events such as disco's and fayres and provide a social group for parents to get to know each other and meet new people.
As a registered charity we receive no outside funding other than donations and what is raised during our sales and events.
All of the money that is raised by the Friends benefits the children of the School.
Contact us to learn more about what you can do to help, and become a part of the team by donating or volunteering today.

Verity Wise
Secretary
Verity is a busy mum of three and currently has two children at St Richards in KS1. Despite being a relatively new parent to the school, Verity was a key part of the fundraising team that so successfully supported the new play area project for the reception classes.
Verity officially joined the Friends of St Richards as Secretary during the summer of 2021.
Verity works part time for the NHS and when time allows enjoys walking, gardening and creatively crafting at home.
Ann Anthraper
Vice Chair
Ann is new to the St Richard's family with a daughter in Year 1 and a two-year old son who is yet to enter the hallowed halls of academia.
An engineer by profession, with a Masters in Business Administration, Ann loves organizing events and being able to lend a hand in bolstering community engagement. With experience as a lecturer in business school, Ann currently teaches online.
Ann loves traveling and imbibing different cultures. When she has some time to spare, she enjoys baking, cooking and crafting.
'I believe that as parents we play a vital part in sparking our kids' thoughts and imagination. I hope that as a part of Friends, I will be able to help set the stage for such growth with different activities and opportunities.'
Jenny Carter
Chair
Jenny has two boys at St Richard’s School in years 4 and 6. She works part time and has been an occasional helper for the Friends since her eldest son started in Ash class.
In the Summer of 2021, Jenny became involved in the fundraising for improvements to the early years outside area where she discovered that working with the school and like-minded parents was actually good fun! Jenny is organised and passionate about raising much needed funds for the children. With it being the last year for her eldest at St Richard’s, Jenny is looking forward to making this school year full of fun and memories for the children.
Jenny loves doing anything crafty and when not at home she can be found camping with her family and dog and spending time exploring the outdoors!
Liz Lelliott
Vice Chair
Liz has three children in the school, Maisie-Mae in year 5, Seb in year 2 and Lottie in year 1.
Liz has also played a role in raising money for the new early years area that's been installed over the summer 2021 and is extremely proud of how much the early years fundraisers (all 3 of us!) managed to raise in such a short space of time.
Having been a pupil at St Richards herself, she is keen to have a role in helping support the school to improve it as much as possible.
Liz works for the NHS.
She is a friendly, approachable person who loves to welcome new people to the school and get others involved.
She joined the friends team in September 2021.
Naomi Donohue
Treasurer
Naomi has two children, Molly, in year 5 and Connor in year 3. She works part time as a recruitment manager and also supports her husbands business with finance admin. Naomi worked in banking for many years prior to this, and has a Bsc(hons) in Mathematics. Naomi loves all things numbers, so the Treasurer role was perfect for her!
Naomi loves staying active, and is often found spinning, at zumba or walking with friends.
